Editing Work Order Event
You can edit an existing Work Order event by launching the event edit window as follows:
• Double-click the event in the Scheduler
OR
• Drag the event in the Scheduler to the required technician and/or date time
This window has the same features as the
new event window, except for the following:
• Defaults are not applied.
• You will see the checkboxes selected for the Update primary technician and Remember my preference options if you dragged the event to a different technician.
• If you click a different technician's name in the tree after opening the event edit window, the following message is displayed:
Do you want to change the work order assignment?
The overlap check is applied similarly to how it is applied during new event creation based on the same configuration settings if the value of the global configuration setting
SET027 is Disallow.
When you update an existing Work Order event, the following updates are made to the Work Order:
• Scheduled Date Time is set to Event Arrive Time + Drive Time.
• Driving Time (in Minutes) and Service Duration (in Seconds) values are set to Drive Time and Service Duration respectively
• If All day event is checked, Drive Time (in Minutes) is set to 0, and the Service Duration (in Seconds) is set to (24 hours * ((Depart – Arrive) + 1)) – 1 minute.
