Creating a Shipment Order from a Work Order
After requesting parts, you can create a shipment order based on the parts request lines to ship parts from inventory to the Work Order location. Similarly, you can create a shipment order to return parts from the field back to inventory. This allows you to track parts that are in transit, delivered, or returned, ensuring accurate inventory records. For more information, see Shipment Order.
To create a Shipment Order:
1. From the Home page, open a Work Order record.
2. Click Create Shipment Order from Work Order SFM. The Create Shipment From Work Order page is displayed.

3. Provide the details for the fields as described in the following table:
Field
Description
Record Type ID
Specifies the unique ID for the shipment record. By default, this is set to Shipment and cannot be modified.
Owner ID
Specifies the owner of the shipment, who is responsible for processing the shipment. By default, it is set to the currently logged-in user.
Order Type
Specifies the category of the shipment. The order type can be Exchange, Replacement, Return, and so on.
Address Type
Specifies the address type. This includes Billing Address, Shipping Address, Mailing Address, and so on. This automatically populates the relevant address fields.
Location
Under Location, specify the From (source) and To (destination) Location, for shipping the parts.
4. In the Lines section, verify the existing lines and click Add to add more shipment lines.

To delete one or more products entered, click Delete beside each record.
5. Click Save.
