Name: Enable Job Duration Management (JDM) field updates
Details: This global setting enables Job Duration Management (JDM) feature. JDM involves managing various durations associated with complex work orders, which usually require multiple events. The durations managed include Estimated Duration (Service Duration in minutes), Scheduled Duration (total duration of all events scheduled), Scope Change (in work), Variance (to original estimate), Revised Duration (Estimated Duration + Scope Change + Variance), and Unscheduled Duration (Revised – Scheduled). In New Event dialog box, Service Time is defaulted to Unscheduled Duration and dispatcher can override it when needed. JDM can be disabled for specific work orders by setting Scheduling Options field to 'All options disabled'.

Name: Auto-create multiple events for work orders with Long Job Scheduling activated
Details: This group setting enables the Long Job Scheduling feature in DC Event dialog, when Job Duration Management feature is also enabled by setting SET006 to Enabled. This feature automatically splits the work order's Service Time into multiple events, while respecting up to four constraints: Work order's Preferred Business Hours, technician's Working Hours, avoiding overlap with existing events, and avoiding slots shorter than minimum event duration, for both Salesforce and ServiceMax events.

Name: Minimum Event Duration
Details: This is the default LJS Minimum Schedule Duration set for each work order on creation. It is shown and can be edited locally in Event dialog for Long Job Scheduling (LJS), without overwriting the work order field value. When multiple events are created automatically for LJS, any opening, shorter than Minimum Schedule Duration + Drive Time + Overhead Time + Break Time of the potential event, is skipped.

Name: Maximum calendar days searched without a success for scheduling Long Job events
Details: This group setting represents the maximum allowed gap in calendar days for Long Job Scheduling, between consecutive events and from the event window start date time to the first event start date time for that invocation. If events can't be created without exceeding this gap, save is canceled and warning message is shown to the user, prompting the user to adjust the constraints set in the event window and retry.

Name: Order Status to apply when under-scheduling protocol is triggered
Details: Set this group setting to an Order Status picklist value, to set as the value of a work order’s Order Status field, when under-scheduling protocol triggers for the work order. It triggers whenever the Unscheduled Duration changes from zero to a positive value. This helps bring under-scheduled work orders to dispatchers' attention, by creating dispatch console views that filter on this status. If the setting is left blank, no status change will occur.

Disallow
|
Name: Manage events outside preferred business (machine access) hours
Details: This group setting controls the validation for Long Job Scheduling events, when they are edited to extend outside the related work order's Preferred Business Hours. If set to Disallow, the user is prevented from saving such changes. If set to Warn, a confirmation warning is displayed to the user before allowing save. If set to Allow, save goes through unconditionally.

Name: List only the underscheduled work order in the grid? Show its Project View?
Details: This group setting determines what happens when a work order is under-scheduled. If set to Ask user, user will be prompted to decide if and how this work order and its events should be displayed. If set to List as the only work order & Show Project View, this work order is listed as the only work order in the grid and all its events are displayed in the Gantt in Project View. If set to Just list as the only work order, this work order is listed as the only work order in the grid. If set to Do not list as the only work order, there will be no change in the list of work orders displayed in the grid. When the option selected by the user or the setting value requires listing of only the under-scheduled work order, it is included in the grid view even if it does not meet the criteria configured for the Dispatch Console view displayed in the grid.
