Auto-Entitlement
If a contract has the covered products and locations with SLAs, and SET006 (Module: Entitlement Verification > Submodule: Work Order Entitlement VF) is set to Product or Location line level and Match Location, the following logic is used to decide which SLA should be considered. The following logic is considered only if the SLA coverage defined at the service contract header level rather than SLA coverage defined at covered product / location level is set to No and Should Location on Work Order be included in entitlement check is set to Yes.
The logic which is followed in the Auto-Entitlement is as follows:
If Covered Product is qualified based on validity dates, ServiceMax checks whether an SLA is associated with the Covered Product. If then , the system will consider the SLA associated with the covered product. If it does not have an SLA, the system considers the SLA at the contract header level. If the Covered Product is not qualified based on validity dates, then ServiceMax checks whether the Covered Location is qualified based on validity dates. If it is qualified, the system checks whether it has an associated SLA, then, the system will consider the SLA associated with the covered location, else it considers the SLA at the contract header level. If Covered Product and Location is not qualified based on validity dates, ServiceMax does not consider the contract as matched.
*
If the Start Date or End Date in a Covered Product or Covered Location is blank, both the Start and End Dates from the contract header are considered to check whether the Covered Product or Covered Location gets qualified. This is applicable when the validity check is based on dates. The system skips the check for Covered Location if the 'Match Location' is not enabled. You can configure to include Parent / Top- Level as Covered Product.
