Creating New Chats
You can start a new chat from an existing one to help the ServiceMax AI Assistant stay focused and avoid confusion caused by earlier messages. When you view records such as Installed Product, Work Order, Case, or Location, this information is automatically transferred to the new chat, saving you the effort of searching again.

Existing chats are not deleted. You can access them at any time. For more information, see Viewing Past Conversations with ServiceMax AI Chat.
To create a new chat, perform the following steps.
1. Open an existing chat in the ServiceMax AI Assistant.
2. Click Create New Chat.
The current conversation closes, and a new chat opens.

The Create New Chat button becomes active only after you send a message in the current session. It is not available if only greeting messages are displayed.
