Technical Attributes User Assignment
The most relevant technical attributes are assigned to the asset based on the template rules. But as an admin, if you need end users to view only a subset of technical attributes based on their persona, the user groups feature enables the technical attributes assignment.
How to set up the functionality?
1. Identify the type of persona who need access to technical attributes. For example, customers, field engineers, remote engineers, and so on.
2. Create a user group based on persona. Assign users and activate the user group.
3. Identify and add the list of technical attributes to the user group based on the requirement of the users you have added to the user group.
4. Enable the setting for user group assignment in Asset 360 Admin Experience.
What happens at runtime?
• From the list of applicable technical attribute templates, the end user can view only those technical attributes that are part of the user group they belong to.

Inactive user groups are ignored.

• When the Respect User Group Assignment setting is not selected, the end user continues to view all the attributes from the list of applicable technical attribute templates.
