What's Enhanced
Enhancements introduced in PTC Orbit version 4.0.
The following are the enhancements introduced in the current release of PTC Orbit.
Chart re-sizing AI Hub
In AI Hub, users can now enlarge and dynamically re-size charts to generate the required data visualizations using natural language prompts, with improved performance and reliability for chart generation and interactions across sessions.
For more information, see
Generate Charts in AI Hub.
.
Enhanced administrator controls in Asset Score
The Asset Scores feature receives enhancements in this release that give administrators greater control over score management. Administrators can now disable individual scores that are no longer relevant, removing them from the asset details view without permanently deleting them. Disabled scores are no longer calculated during scheduled batch jobs, display a Disabled label in the asset column on the Scores home page, and are hidden from individual asset detail pages. Scores can be re-enabled at any time.
For more information, see
Score Configuration.
.
ESI data model mapping in Windchill Integration
The integration between PTC Windchill and PTC Orbit is enhanced for Enterprise Systems Integration (ESI) Response data model mapping. This release adds support for consuming Windchill ESI Response XML data into PTC Orbit through automated Matillion pipelines. This enables organizations using Windchill for product lifecycle management to keep their PTC Orbit product structures synchronized with the latest engineering changes. This covers scenarios such as added, updated, and deleted Bill of Materials (BOMs), BOM components, parts, resource BOMs, and substitutes.

.
Tenant provisioning enhancements
PTC Orbit streamlines the initial setup experience for new tenants with several provisioning improvements. New tenants now automatically receive the Orbit Admin role assigned to the system administrator, eliminating the need for manual role configuration. Additionally, pre-configured matching rules for both Asset and Product objects are now packaged with the installation. These matching rules, based on serial number for assets and product code for products, are created automatically when Staging Review is enabled, giving administrators an out-of-the-box data de-duplication foundation that they can customize as needed.

.
External deletion tracking in Matillion pipelines
Matillion now handles deletions from external systems more clearly and reliably. A new field has been added to the Data Review Stage, Data Review Stage Temp, and Data Review Stage Unified Records template objects. The pipeline now maps the external deletion flag in both Insert and Update mappings, making it easier for downstream processes and reports to correctly recognize and act on records deleted in external source systems.
