Sequential state (system) (UPDM - DoDAF aliases)
A Sequential State (System) is a proprietary element that is required to model UPDM in Modeler.
Creation
To create a Sequential State (System):
• From a
State Description (System) or Sequential State (System): right-click the element, point to New, point to DoDAF, and then click Sequential State (System).

When shown on an
SV-10b Systems State Transition Description, a Sequential State (System) appears as follows:

Relationships
The following relationships are of importance to a Sequential State (System):
• UML Transitions link an Atomic State (System) to other State Diagram elements (SV-10b Systems State Transition Description).
• Activity (System) elements can be invoked by an Atomic State (System): right-click the Atomic State (System), point to Links, and then click Do Function.
• Operation (System) elements can be invoked by an Atomic State (System): right-click the Atomic State (System), point to Links, and then click Do Resource Operation.
• State Description (System) elements can be invoked by an Atomic State (System): right-click the Atomic State (System), point to Links, and then click Do Resource State Machine.
