Creation
To create an Activity (System):
From an Architectural Description or Service Description: right-click the Architectural Description or Service Description, point to New, point to DoDAF, point to System, and then click Activity (System).
From an Organization Type: right-click the Organization Type, point to New, point to DoDAF, and then click Activity (System)
Appearance
When shown on an SV-4 Systems Functionality Description, an Activity (System) appears as follows:
When shown on an SV-10b Systems State Transition Description, an Activity (System) appears as a Do Activity (System) call:
Relationships
The following relationships are of importance to an Activity (System):
Implements relationships link an Activity (System) to the Activity (Operational), Standard Activity (Operational), and Activity (Service) elements it implements.
Activity Performed by Performer relationships link an Activity (System) to elements that can perform the Activity (System).
Activity Maps To Capability relationships link an Activity (System) to the Capability elements that are mapped to.
An Activity Action (System) invokes an Activity (System).
An Operation (System) message represents an Activity (System) on an SV-10c Systems Event-Trace Description.
