Creation
To create a Capability:
From an Architectural Description or Service Description: right-click the Architectural Description or Service Description, point to New, point to DoDAF, point to Capability, and then click Capability.
From a Capability: right-click the Capability, point to New, point to DoDAF, and then click Capability.
Appearance
When shown on a CV-4 Capability Dependencies, a Capability appears as follows:
Relationships
The following relationships are of importance to a Capability:
Generalization relationships to define inheritance (CV-2 Capability Taxonomy).
Capability Of Performer relationships link a Capability to elements that exhibit that Capability.
Expose relationships link a Capability to Service Interface elements that are exposed by that Capability.
Forecast relationships link a Capability to forecasted future Capability elements.
Activity Maps To Capability relationships link a Capability to Activity (System), Activity (Operational), Standard Activity (Operational), and Activity (Project) elements that map to that Capability.
