Capability property (UPDM - NAF aliases)
Creation
To create a Capability Property:
From a Capability: right-click the Capability, point to New, point to NAF, and then click Capability Property.
On the Select Type dialog, create or select the Capability that is the type of the Capability Property, or create an untyped Capability Property.
From an NOV-2 Operational Node Definition, NOV-4 Typical Organizational Relationships Chart, NCV-1 Enterprise Vision, NCV-2 Capability Taxonomy or NSV-1 Resource Specification: click the Composite Association toolbar button, click the owning Capability, and then click the Capability that is the type of the Capability Property.
From an NCV-2 Capability Taxonomy: click the Capability Property toolbar button, and then click the owning Capability. On the Select Type dialog, create or select the Capability that is the type of the Capability Property, or create an untyped Capability Property.
From an NCV-4 Capability Dependencies:
Click the Capability Property toolbar button, and then click the Capability or Capability Property element that is to own the Capability Property. On the Select Type dialog, create or select the Capability that is the type of the Capability Property, or create an untyped Capability Property.
If the Capability that owns the NCV-4 Capability Dependencies is not shown on the diagram, create a Capability Property on the diagram owner by clicking in free space.
From an appropriate Modeler pane, locate the Capability that you want to use as the type of the Capability Property, and then drag that Capability to the owning Capability or Capability Property element on the diagram.
If the Capability that owns the NCV-4 Capability Dependencies is not shown on the diagram, create a Capability Property on the diagram owner by dragging the Capability to free space.

When you create a Capability Property through the Capability Property toolbar button or when you create a Capability Property as untyped, the Capability Property is created as a UML Attribute, rather than a UML Role, and it cannot be shown on a diagram as a Composite Association.
When shown on an NCV-4 Capability Dependencies, a Capability Property appears as follows:
