Implements (UPDM - DoDAF aliases)
Creation
To create an Implements:
• From an SV-5 Function to Operational Activity/Service Function Definition: click the Implements toolbar button, click the source element, and then click the destination element that implements the source element.
• From a source element: right-click the source element, point to Links, point to DoDAF, point to All, and then click Implements. On the Links Editor dialog, select the destination elements.
• From a destination element: right-click the destination element, point to Links, point to DoDAF, point to All, and then click Implemented By. On the Links Editor dialog, select the source elements.
When the source element is a Performer (System), Organization Type, System Context, Person Role Type, System, Responsibility, Software or Service Access element, the destination element must be a Performer (Operational).
When the source element is an Activity (System), the destination element can be an Activity (Operational), Standard Activity (Operational) or Activity (Service) element.
When the source element is an Activity (Operational) or Standard Activity (Operational) element, the destination element must be an Activity (Service) element.
Appearance
When shown on an SV-5 Function to Operational Activity/Service Function Definition, an Implements appears as follows:
An SV-5 Function to Operational Activity/Service Function Traceability Matrix shows how elements are related through Implements relationships.
