Importing or exporting a component through the command line interface (Component Sharing Wizard)
1. If you have not created a configuration file that defines the import or export, do so (see Creating or changing a configuration file).
2. Ensure that the Component Sharing Wizard is not running.
3. Run the following command line through a Command Prompt window, Windows Run dialog, or a batch file:
CompShare.exe –CL <path and name of configuration file>
Note that configuration files have a CWC extension.
The CompShare.exe file resides in the Modeler Exe folder.
If the configuration file is set up to generate a log file, the log file is generated to your Windows temp folder. By default, the location of the Windows temp folder is as follows:
C:\Documents and Settings\<user name>\Local Settings\Temp
*
Tip: in Windows Explorer, you can quickly go to your Windows temp folder by typing %temp% in the Address box.
