Creating or changing a configuration file (Component Sharing Wizard)
You can create a configuration file through the Component Sharing Configuration Manager or through the Component Sharing Wizard (after performing an import or export).
To create or change a configuration file through the Component Sharing Configuration Manager:
1. Start the Component Sharing Configuration Manager.
For more information, see Starting the component sharing configuration manager (Component Sharing Wizard).
2. On the Main tab, click the selection button that is associated with the Config File box.
3. Specify the name and path of the configuration file you want to create, or select an existing file to change.
Configuration files have a CWC extension.
4. On the File menu, click Save.
After saving the configuration file, you can run the import or export by clicking the Run button.
To create or change a configuration file through the Component Sharing Wizard:
1. Start the Component Sharing Wizard. For more information, see Starting Component Sharing Wizard (Component Sharing Wizard).
2. Perform the import or export operation, but do not close the Component Sharing Wizard.
3. From the Share Component (Step 7 of 7) page of the Component Sharing Wizard, click Save, and then click Configuration Settings.
