Defaults pane (Publisher)
The Defaults pane allows you to specify which default properties are included when assigning a model item type to a document structure item.
When Publisher extracts items and diagram from a model, by default it extracts the following properties of each item or diagram:
For dictionary items (except the Model) and Stereotypes: Name, FullScopedName, Description and DynamicUmlClassName.
For the Model: FullScopedName, Description, DynamicUmlClassName and Reference.
For diagrams (except Text Diagrams): Name, FullScopedName, Description, DynamicUmlClassName and EMFPlusOnly. The EMFPlusOnly property of a diagram extracts the diagram image
For Text Diagrams: Name, FullScopedName, Description, DynamicUmlClassName and HyperlinkedRTF. The HyperlinkedRTF property of a Text Diagram extracts its content.
Through the Defaults pane, you can define default properties to extract for all items and all diagrams. You can then override those default properties to extract for specific item types and diagram types. In addition, you can define default properties to include for Stereotypes.
After defining default properties to include, those properties are used for new document structure items you create when applicable.
Important:
Changes that you make through the Defaults pane do not affect existing document structure items. Other users are not affected by any changes you make in the Defaults pane.
The Defaults pane is not included in the Full Editor Layout of Publisher
