Generating only part of a document structure (Publisher)
When you are developing a document structure it can be useful to generate only the part of the document structure you are working on.
You can generate the content or layout.
The Content command generates using data from the active model.
Use this command when you want to see how the model data is generated.
The Layout command generates using dummy data.
Use this command when you want to reduce the generation time and see how only the structure is generated.
To generate only part of a document structure:
1. In the Document Structure pane, locate the section, child role or child item you want to generate.
2. Right-click the section you want to generate, and point to Preview, and then click Content or Layout.
Publisher uses the specified Output Path, Output Path and Launch After Generation settings to generate the document or HTML files. The name of the document or Publisher HTML folder is prefixed by [Section Preview].
