Mapping selection page (Integration for IBM Rational DOORS)
This page of Integration for IBM Rational DOORS allows you to create, select or delete Integration for IBM Rational DOORS Mappings for the synchronization.
To create a new Mapping, click Create New.
To view or change a Mapping, select the check box associated with the Mapping, and then click Edit - you can save the mapping without performing a synchronization.
To export the mapping options to a Mapping Options File, select the Integration for IBM Rational DOORS Mapping and then click Export. To create an Integration for IBM Rational DOORS Mapping from a Mapping Options File, click Import, and then select the Mapping Options File.
To perform a synchronization using one or more Mappings, select the check boxes associated with those Mappings, and then click Synchronize.
To view or change a Mapping before performing a synchronization with that Mapping, select the check box associated with that Mapping, and then click Edit. Note that the Mapping may be set up so that it can only be changed by users that have Owner access permissions to the Model.
In addition to the common navigation buttons, the following controls appear on this page of Integration for IBM Rational DOORS:
• Mappings list - lists Integration for IBM Rational DOORS Mappings that have been created for the Modeler Model. The columns provide information about each Mapping:
◦ Mapping Name displays the name of the Mapping.
◦ Mapping Type displays whether the Mapping is for a surrogate mapping or a requirements mapping.
◦ Root Object displays the name of the Modeler Package that is the root item for the Mapping.
◦ DOORS Module displays the name of the formal module that is used for the Mapping.
◦ Protected displays whether the Mapping can be changed only by users with Owner access permissions to the Modeler Model.
• Create New button - opens the Modeler Model and DOORS Module Selection page for you to create and define a new Integration for IBM Rational DOORS Mapping. After defining the Mapping, you can optionally save the Mapping and optionally start a synchronization.
• Import button - opens a dialog for you to create an Integration for IBM Rational DOORS Mapping from a Mapping Options File. Mapping Options Files are created through the Export button.
• Edit button - opens the Modeler Model and DOORS Module Selection page for you to view and optionally change the selected Mapping's settings. After viewing and changing the Mapping's settings, you can optionally save the Mapping and optionally start a synchronization.
• Export button - opens a dialog for you to export the mapping options of the selected Integration for IBM Rational DOORS Mapping (selected by having its check box selected) to a Mapping Options File (.xml).
New Integration for IBM Rational DOORS Mappings can be created from exported Mapping Options Files through the Import button.
• Delete button - deletes Integration for IBM Rational DOORS Mappings that have their associated check boxes selected.
• Synchronize button - opens the synchronize page so that you can start a Synchronization using the selected Mappings. You can select many Integration for IBM Rational DOORS Mappings before clicking the Synchronize button.
