Integration for IBM Rational DOORS mappings (Integration for IBM Rational DOORS)
An Integration for IBM Rational DOORS Mapping stores the settings you have made on Integration for IBM Rational DOORS pages, so that you can easily perform a synchronization using the same settings again. An Integration for IBM Rational DOORS Mapping is stored with a model, so all users of a model can see the Mappings that have been created for that model.
When you start Integration for IBM Rational DOORS through the Modeler Tools menu, the Mapping Selection page lists all Mappings that have been created for the Modeler Model. On the Mapping Select page, you can create a new Mapping or use an existing Mapping:
To create and define a new mapping for the Model, click·CreateNew.
To view and optionally change a Mapping, select the check box associated with the Mapping, and then click·Edit.
To perform a synchronization using one or more Mappings, select the check boxes associated with those Mappings, and then click·Synchronize.
On the Synchronize page, you can choose to save any changes you have made to the Mapping through the 'Save Mapping Only' and 'Save Mapping and Synchronize' buttons. The Synchronize Only button uses the changes you have made to perform the synchronization, but does not save those changes to the Mapping.
When you start Integration for IBM Rational DOORS from Modeler, Integration for IBM Rational DOORS finds the Mapping to use for the synchronization. Integration for IBM Rational DOORS searches up the Package hierarchy from the item that is selected in Modeler until it finds a Package that is used as the root item for a Mapping; the check box associated with that Mapping is then selected on the Mapping Selection page.
If you have many mappings for a model and you synchronize those surrogate modules individually, you can experience version skew between surrogate modules.

An Integration for IBM Rational DOORS Mapping is available to all users of a Model, and for all versions of a Model.
You can set up a Mapping so that it can be changed only by users with Owner access permissions to the Model - on the Common Mapping Options page, select the 'Model Owner Only' check box.
When you start a synchronization from Modeler, the Mapping points at the same surrogate module for all versions of the Modeler Model.
Setting up Integration for IBM Rational DOORS so that only model owners can create, change or delete an Integration for IBM Rational DOORS Mapping
You can set up an Integration for IBM Rational DOORS so that only model owners can create, change or delete an Integration for IBM Rational DOORS Mapping by copying a file named ModelOwnerOnly to the ModelerATFiles folder. Tell me more...
Exporting mapping options
Having created an Integration for IBM Rational DOORS Mapping for a model, you may want to use the mapping options you have set with different models. To do so, create a Mapping Options File from the Integration for IBM Rational DOORS Mapping, and then create new Integration for IBM Rational DOORS Mappings from that exported Mapping Options File.
To create a Mapping Options File from an Integration for IBM Rational DOORS Mapping: From the Mapping Selection page, select the check box associated with the Integration for IBM Rational DOORS Mapping, and then click Export.
To create an Integration for IBM Rational DOORS Mapping from a Mapping Options File: From the Mapping Selection page, click Import, and then select the Mapping Options File you want to use.
