To Create a 2D Figure
1. Select a figure from the figures list or thumbnails, and then perform one of the following actions:
◦ Click Figure > New Figure
◦ Use the New Figure option located on the right mouse button menu
The New Figure dialog box opens.
2. Under 2D, select a method to create a 2D figure:
◦ Under Current Figure, select either Figure View or Current View.
◦ Under Other 3D Figures, select a figure.

A Figure View must be set to create a figure from a figure listed under Other 3D Figures.
The view used to create the 2D figure is added to the 2D Views menu for the parent 3D figure.
3. The 2D figure will be created based on the default 2D figure settings in the standard. To customize the 2D figure settings, click 2D Figure Settings. The 2D Figure settings dialog box opens.
4. Use the tabs in the 2D Figure dialog box to edit the 2D figure settings. For more information, see To Customize the Settings for 2D Figures.
5. Click Create to create the 2D figure and keep the dialog box open, or click Create and Close to create the 2D figure and close the dialog box.
