To Create an Artifact
1. With a design open, click Diagramming > Catalog Explorer to open the Catalog Explorer dialog box.
2. Select the type from the Type box.
3. In the Folder list, click the folder in which you want to create the artifact.
4. Click . The generic name of the new artifact is added to the artifact list, for example, Port_1, Block_3, and so on.
5. Click at the top of the Catalog Explorer, or right-click the name of the new artifact and select Properties from the shortcut menu. The Properties dialog box opens.
6. Configure the artifact parameters as required:
Set the artifact name—Type a meaningful name in the Name box
Add parameters—Click Add and select the required parameter from the Parameter Selector dialog box
Modify parameter values—Enter a value in the Parameter value box, or click Choose Value and select a value from the Select a string dialog box, and then click .
Click OK.
7. Apply a datatable to the artifact, as required.
8. Click Close.
