To Create Tool Motions for 3-, 4-, or 5-Axis Trajectory Milling NC Sequences
1. When creating or editing a 3, 4, or 5–axis Trajectory milling sequence, click Tool Motions on the Trajectory tab.
2. Select the type of tool motion that you want to create from the tool motions list. The following motions are available:
Tool Motions
Curve Cut—Creates a curve trajectory by specifying the curve, offset settings, and references.
Drive Surface Cut—Creates cut motion along surfaces at a specified height
Follow Curve—Select the curve if it exists or define a curve using the Sketch tool or Datum Curve tool.
 
* A follow cut is added automatically with every tool motion and appears in the Tool Motions list.

Normal Approach
Tangent Approach
Helical Approach
Approach Along Tool Axis
Lead In
Plunge
Normal Exit
Tangent Exit
Helical Exit
Exit Along Tool Axis
Lead Out
Retract
Goto Motions
Goto Point
Go Delta
Goto Home
CL Command
3. You can manipulate the list of tool motions using the following options on the right-click menu of a selected Tool motion or CL command:
Copy—Copy the selected Tool motion or motions and CL command or commands and place them on the clipboard, to insert them at a different control point.
Cut—Remove the selected Tool motion or motions and CL command or commands and place them on the Clipboard, to insert them at a different control point.
Delete—Remove the selected Tool motion or motions and CL command or commands.
Edit Definition—Change the selected Tool motion or CL command.
Edit Parameters—Modify the parameters of the Tool motion.
