To Insert a CL Command for Tool Motions
You can insert a customized CL command anywhere along the tool path. You can either select a location on the tool path, or insert a command at the current tool position.
1. On the Trajectory, Face, Profile, Manual Cycle tab, or the tab of any turning or holemaking step, select CL Command in the Tool Motions list.
The CL Command dialog box opens.
2. Specify the command contents using one of the following methods:
Place the pointer in the box and type the command, line-by-line. Note that this method does not provide syntax checking.
Click Insert and read in a file containing the CL command lines. The Open dialog box opens. Select the file that you want Creo NC to read. The file must have a .cmd extension
Click Menu and do the following to compose the command by selecting appropriately from the syntax (cmd edit) menus:
1. Select a command from the cmd edit menu. The second-level cmd edit menu appears with all major keywords for the selected command.

* The commands are not output to the APT file yet.
2. Select a keyword from the second-level cmd edit menu. If certain parameters such as point coordinates are required for the selected command, you are prompted to specify them. Creo NC displays the subsequent cmd edit menus, if applicable.

* After selecting a keyword from the second-level cmd edit menu, the command is output to the APT file. You cannot quit until the command is complete. However, you can click Delete or Edit Definition to delete and re-define the erroneous line later in the Tool Motions list, if necessary.
3. Click QUIT OPTIONS on the final cmd edit menu. The command is output to the box in the CL Command dialog box.
4. Click Menu to specify another command if required.
Choose one of the following options to select the location of the CL command:
Independent—Inserts the CL command at a selected location in the Tool Motions list.
Relative to the tool motion—Inserts the CL command on the tool path directly.
Select a point on the tool path to insert the CL command.
Enter a value from 0 to 1 to locate the position of the CL command on the tool path.
Relative to geometry—Inserts the CL command on the tool path relative to the selected geometry.
Click the Tool Motions collector and select a point on the tool path to insert the CL command.
Click the Geometry Reference collector and select a point on the tool path to insert the CL command.
Select whether to add the CL command on the First Pass, Last Pass, or All Passes.
3. Click OK.

You can edit the contents of the box where you enter commands at any point.
If you specify more than one command line, they are treated as a "block", that is, you can move, copy, or delete only the whole block of command lines.
