To Customize Import Validation Settings at the Start of Session
1. Click File > Options. The Creo Parametric Options dialog box opens.
2. Click Data Exchange on the left pane of the Creo Parametric Options dialog box to access the 3D data exchange settings page.
3. Click Import Validation Settings in the 3D section of the 3D data exchange settings page. The Import Validation Settings dialog box opens.
4. Edit the tolerance values of all or any of the validation properties according to the maximum tolerance allowed for each property in the Max tolerance column.
5. Reset the severity of the import failure of each validation property from Ignore to Error or Warning in the In case of failure list.
6. Select the Status to Warning if property not available check box to set a warning for a validation property that is missing in the model.
7. Change the severity of the Failure to Solidify and Failure to Import model errors from Error to Warning or Ignore in the In case of failure list.
8. Click Save to save the customized import validation settings using the Save settings file dialog box to a file named config.val in the Working directory or any other location.
9. Click OK in the Import Validation Settings dialog box.
