Combined thermal and mechanical studies
Sometimes the result of a steady state thermal analysis must be used as a load for a mechanical analysis (linear static or linear buckling). A combined study eliminates the need for extra steps or setup.
You can create a combined study through a variety of methods:
• If you have not created either study, you can create both studies in one step. See Create a combined thermal and mechanical study for instructions.
• If you have a thermal study, you can create the mechanical study and add the thermal study in one step. See Create a study for instructions.
• If you have both studies, you can combine the existing studies. See Combine existing studies for instructions.
