Create a study
A study is a collection of specific analysis information for your design model which can be saved with the solid model information. It includes the following:
A unique study name
Association with a solid model (part)
Material information
Load and boundary conditions information
Mesh conditioning information
Selected analysis type
Selected result types
All study information is included when you save the normal design information as a package or session.
View, hide, and select studies in the Structure Browser. You can only display one study at a time.
To create a study,
1. Click FEA and then, in the Study group, click New. The Create Study dialog box opens.
2. Select an Owner in the Structure Browser, which can be a part or an assembly.
3. If you have a thermal study that you want to combine with your new mechanical study, click ThermalStudy and select an appropriate study in the Structure Browser. This option is only available if a thermal steady state analysis is present for the selected owner.
4. Click to complete the operation.
