Create a combined thermal and mechanical study
If you want to create a combined study, and you have not created either study, you can create and link them in one step.
To create a combined thermal and mechanical study,
1. Click FEA and then, in the Study group, click New Comb. The Create CombStudy dialog box opens.
2. Select an Owner in the Structure Browser, which can be a part or an assembly. If you want to analyze an assembly, select an assembly for the owner.
3. The Therm.Name (thermal study name) and Mech.Name (mechanical study name) will be automatically created, but you can change these names in the dialog box.
4. Select the Anl. typ (Analysis Type) check box for the mechanical study. You can only choose between Linear Static and Lin. Buckling for a combined study.
5. Click to complete the operation.
To delete a combined study,
1. Click FEA and then, in the Study group, click Delete Comb.
2. Double-click the study in the Structure Browser.
