View and edit Masterdata
You can view and edit Masterdata stored in the database. Masterdata is identified by the Masterdata icon: .
View the Masterdata associated with a model, assembly, or drawing:
1. Select an item in the Workspace.
2. Click Home and then, in the Edit group, click the arrow next to DB Properties.
3. Click Masterdata. Alternatively, right-click the item and, in the shortcut menu, click DB Properties > Masterdata. The DB Properties dialog box opens.
4. Click Where Used to see and where the Masterdata is linked to other Masterdata or parts.
You can also see the Masterdata associated with a model in the Creo Elements/Direct Modeling Structure Browser's detail view.
To edit Masterdata properties:
You can only edit Masterdata if you have permission to change the item.
1. Select a Masterdata record in the Workspace window.
2. Click Structure and then, in the BOM group, click BOM Editor. Alternatively, right-click the Masterdata and, in the shortcut menu, click BOM Editor. The BOM Editor dialog box opens.
3. Click a column cell and type the new information.
4. Click File > Save to save your changes.
5. Close the BOM Editor window.

If a line is grayed out, then you do not have permission to edit the Masterdata.
