Lightweight viewing options
Creo Elements/Direct 3D Access includes the option to publish lightweight drawings and models — small, easily distributed drawings or models that make it easy for anyone with a PC to interpret and understand 2D and 3D design data.
Publish drawings of Creo Elements/Direct 3D Access models in the following lightweight viewing options:
eDrawings™ Publisher
The eDrawings Publisher is a plug-in with which you can create eDrawings files. You can view these files with the eDrawings Viewer. If you enable the eDrawings Professional for Creo Elements/Direct Modeling license, the files will be review-enabled.
Save drawings in eDrawings format (*.easm for parts and assemblies, *.edrw for drawings) without opening them in the eDrawings Viewer in the File > Save dialog. See Save for more information.
XVL
XVL is a highly compressed 3D file format that can be viewed in a web browser. To view these files, you must have a browser plug-in from Lattice 3D, the developers of XVL. For more information about XVL and to download the free viewer, please visit Lattice 3D’s web site.
eDrawings™ is a trademark of SolidWorks Corporation.
