Measure shortest distance between a point and surface
To measure the shortest distance between a point and a surface
1. Click
Analysis and then, in the
Measure group, click the arrow next to
Distance.
2. Click
Distance of Point to Surface. The
Measure Output and
Distance dialog boxes open.
3. Click a point.
4. Click a surface. The viewer displays the shortest distance between the point and the surface in the Distance Output box.
5. You can click further measure options, or click
to complete the operation.
