Measure shortest distance between a point and face
To measure the shortest distance between a point and a face
1. Click
Analysis and then, in the
Measure group, click the arrow next to
Distance.
2. Click
Distance of Point to Face. The
Measure Output and
Distance dialog boxes open.
3. Click a point on the object.
4. Click the target face. The viewer displays the shortest distance between the point and the face in the Distance Output box.
5. You can click further measure options, or click
to complete the operation.
| If it is not possible to project a perpendicular through the point to the target face, Creo Elements/Direct 3D Access displays an error message. |
