Insert Link Dialog Box
Use this dialog box to create or modify links to link targets in the current document or to Web URLs. The title of this dialog box and some of the options depend on how it was opened. When a link in the current document is selected or the cursor is within a link and you select Modify Link from the Edit view shortcut menu, the title of this dialog box is Modify Link. When the dialog box is opened from the Update Graphic Object Links dialog box, the title of this dialog box is Add Link.

Current Document
When the Current Document tab is selected, this dialog box contains the following options:
List — Determines the type of link targets that are displayed in the Link Targets list.
You can select the following sorts of targets to display in the list:
All — All possible link targets
Divisions — Only targets that are configured to be divisions
Graphics - All — All possible graphic targets
Graphics - Intelligent — Only intelligent graphic targets
Tables — All table targets
Link Targets — Lists the link targets available in the current document.
The content of this list is controlled by the List option. If no targets are listed, or you wish to link to some other point in the document, you must first insert a link target in the document at the appropriate location.
Target Text — Displays the first few characters of text in or adjacent to the target selected in the Link Targets list.
Go To — With a target selected in the Link Targets list, Go To scrolls the document in the Arbortext Editor window to the link target's location.
The cursor remains at the original location.
Go Back — After using the Go To button to scroll to another location in the document, Go Back scrolls the document to its original location.
Intelligent graphic image — Displays a thumbnail image of an intelligent graphic.
This image only appears when you select an intelligent graphic in the Link Targets list.
Highlight — Determines whether you want to create a link to an intelligent graphic that highlights a specific part of the image.
This option only appears when you select an intelligent graphic in the Link Targets list. If you select this option, the Select button opens the Insert Highlight Link dialog box.
Animation — Determines whether you want to create a link to an intelligent graphic that starts an animation sequence.
This option only appears when you select an Arbortext IsoView graphic in the Link Targets list and the selected graphic contains animations. If you select this option, the Select button opens the Insert Animation Link dialog box.
View — Determines whether you want to create a link to an intelligent graphic that changes the display of the graphic to a specific view.
This option only appears when you select a intelligent graphic in the Link Targets list. This option is only available if the selected intelligent graphic contains multiple views. If you select this option, the Select button opens the Insert View Link dialog box.
Select this option if you are working with a Creo View graphic and want to link to an animation or a sequence of steps.
Select — Opens the appropriate intelligent graphic link dialog box.
This option only appears when you select an intelligent graphic in the Link Targets list. The dialog box opened by the Select button is determined by the type of intelligent graphic link you want to create.
Properties — Displays the properties of an intelligent graphic link.
This table only appears on the Modify Link dialog box when you are modifying a link to an intelligent graphic. It provides information about the link, including the object in the intelligent graphic associated with the link and any action that is defined when the link is selected.
Insert — Places a link to the selected link target at the current cursor location. If text (or markup) is highlighted in the document, the link markup surrounds the highlighted text.
In the Modify Link dialog box, this button is named Modify and modifies the selected link. In the Add Link dialog box, this button is named Add and adds the new link to the Links list in the Update Graphic Object Links dialog box.
Cancel — Closes the dialog box without inserting or changing a link.
Help — Displays help for this dialog box.
Web
When the Web tab is selected, this dialog box contains the following options:
URL — Shows the URL (Uniform Resource Locator) to link to. On Windows platforms only, if you have a Web browser currently running, the text in the URL field shows the current URL displayed in the Web browser.
Browse Web — Opens your Web browser. On Windows platforms only, if you navigate to a URL with your Web browser, the URL field in the Insert Link dialog box updates when you switch back to the dialog box.
Insert — Places a link to the specified URL at the current cursor location. If text (or markup) is highlighted in the document, the link markup surrounds the highlighted text.
Cancel — Closes the dialog box without inserting or changing a link.
Help — Displays help for this dialog box.
