Insert View Link Dialog Box
For both Arbortext IsoView and Creo View, use this dialog box to select the view in an intelligent graphic to which you want to link. A view is a predefined look for an intelligent graphic that is stored within the graphic. An intelligent graphic can have several views defined in its graphic file. For Creo View, you can also use this dialog box to insert a link to an animation (animation link) or a link to a sequence of steps (sequence link). Animations and sequences are associated with a view.
Note that this dialog box is named Modify View Link when it is opened from the Modify Link dialog box. It is named Add View Link when it is opened from the Add Link dialog box.
The Insert View Link dialog box contains the following options:
Arbortext IsoView or Creo View control — Displays the intelligent graphic.
For Creo View, when you select a view that contains an animation the control displays the following buttons that enable you to view the animation defined in that graphic view:
Start AnimationThis is an image of a black triangle pointing to the right. — Starts the animation.
Stop AnimationThis is an image of a black rectangle.
— Stops the currently playing animation.
Rewind AnimationThis is an image of a black vertical line with a black triangle to the right side of the line. — Returns the currently playing animation to the beginning.
When you select a view that contains a sequence of steps, the control displays these buttons for viewing the sequence:
Reset SequenceThis is an image of a vertical line with two triangles to the right side of the line. — Goes to the beginning of the sequence.
Previous StepThis is an image of a vertical line with one triangle to the right side of the line. — Runs the previous step in the sequence.
PlayThis is an image of a triangle pointing to the right. — Plays the current step in the sequence.
Next StepThis is an image of a vertical line with one triangle to the left side of the line. — Runs the next step in the sequence.
Step number spinner control This is an image of a number in a box with up and down selection arrows — Select the step you would like to view or link to
View — Determines the view in the intelligent graphic that is the target of the link.
When you select a view in this list, that view is displayed in the ActiveX control.
Animation — For Creo View, indicates to insert an animation link instead of a view link.
This check box is only available for Creo View. It is displayed when you select a view in the View list that contains an animation. Check the box if you want to insert an animation link instead of a view link.
Sequence — For Creo View, indicates to insert a sequence link instead of a view link.
This check box is only available for Creo View. It is displayed when you select a view in the View list that contains a sequence of steps. Check the box if you want to insert an sequence link instead of a view link.
Insert — Inserts the link and closes the dialog box.
Note that this button is named Modify on the Modify View Link dialog box. In this case, the link is modified when you click the button. It is named Add on the Add View Link dialog box. In this case, the link is added to the Links table in the Update Graphic Object Links dialog box.
