Menus Overview
The following menus are available in Arbortext Editor. Menu options may vary. You can display all of the available menu options by choosing Tools > Preferences, selecting the Windows category, and checking the Full Menus option.
File menu — Lists options affecting the whole file such as opening, saving, printing, and closing files.
Edit menu — Lists editing options such as cutting, pasting, undoing, and selecting.
Find menu — Lists search and replace options such as finding and replacing text, finding tags, finding entities, finding processing instructions, finding marked sections, and creating and inserting bookmark locations.
View menu — Tailors the appearance of Arbortext Editor to suit your needs, such as showing or hiding the content of elements, displaying graphics and tables as an image or a tag set. Besides setting general Arbortext Editor display characteristics, you can also have generated text, text entities, and file entities displayed as readable text or as markup icons.
Insert menu — Lists options for inserting and changing markup, tables, symbols, graphics, equations, and comments.
Entities menu — Lists options for creating, inserting, and changing text, file, and graphic entities as well as marked sections. This menu is only available if you have elected to display Full Menus.
Table menu — Provides options for inserting and editing tables.
Tools menu — Provides software tools to assist you in developing your document.
Format menu — Provides options for modifying styles.
Window menu — Provides options for opening a new Arbortext Editor window, viewing other open documents, and splitting the current window.
Help menu — Provides access to the online help, the PTC Arbortext Help Center, the PTC website, the PTC Case Logger, and the PTC Knowledge Base, plus information about the current Arbortext Editor session.
