To Search for an ECAD Object by Attribute
1. Click Home > Find > Search. The Search ECAD Design dialog box opens.
2. In Query Name, type a name, or select a name from the list.
3. To narrow the search to a type of object, in the Search Criteria section, select an object type from Search Within.

For Selected or Highlighted, Attribute is the only available search characteristic. Skip to step 8.
4. In the Search By box, select Attribute. The dialog box updates.
5. Select Name or Value.
6. For attribute name searches, in Comparison, select a condition:
Equals — Matches search text to attribute names.
Does not exist — Finds attributes without names.
7. In Value, type or select a value.

You can use wildcards for your searches. See Using Wildcards.
8. For attribute value searches, in Within Attribute, accept the default, All, or select an attribute name from the list.
To search using a numeric comparison of values:
1. Select the Numeric Comparison check box.
2. In Comparison, select an operand, such as greater than or equal to.
3. In Value, type a value.
To search for values that equal or do not equal a specified value:
1. Clear the Numeric Comparison check box.
2. In Comparison, select a condition:
Equals — Matches search to attribute values.
Does not equal — Finds attributes that do not equal attribute values.
Has no value — Finds attributes with no value.
Has a value — Finds attributes that have a value.
3. In Value, type a value.
9. The Ignore case check box is selected by default. To make the search case sensitive, clear the check box.

11. Click Apply or OK:
The results appear in the ECAD Results tab in the secondary navigation pane.
A named query is saved.
If you click OK, the Search ECAD Design dialog box closes.
12. To save the search results as a group, click Save As Group.
13. To reset the query, click Reset. The query resets to the most recent state:

The last time you clicked Apply
