You can connect a leader line to these items:
Parts
Component instances
Notes
Surface polygons

Gtol
Adds Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GDT) symbols. GDT is an industry-standard language used by detailers to describe how components are fitted together. You can drag the GDT box to move it in the graphics area.

Surface Polygon
In the Model view, you can create a polygon on the surface of one or more parts. The surface polygon moves with the parts, and it stretches, if necessary. You can drag a vertex to another part to connect it to that part.
When you select the surface polygon, its corresponding parts, leader lines, and notes are also highlighted using secondary selection highlighting.
