About the Selection Filter
Design files can have many objects that may overlap or share a location. To make selections easier, use the selection filter to limit the type of selectable object or geometry.
Selection filters can be set as the default selection, or for the selected file.
The filter’s functionality depends on the type of file:
• MCAD—Makes one object type selectable.
• ECAD—Allows the selection of one object type or of the objects associated with an object.
In Creo View, you can set the selection filter for the following views:
• Model
• PCB Layout Viewer
• Schematic Viewer
• Illustration Viewer
