Example: Creating and Publishing an Illustration
The basic steps for creating and publishing an illustration in Creo Illustrate are summarized below.
1. For Schematic illustrations, set the standard. See To Set the Standard for a Schematic Illustration.

2. For 3D and Schematic illustrations, create a new illustration file:
a. Import data.
b. Create the first figure.
c. Load the sBOM items.
For instructions, see To Create a New Illustration.
3. Edit the figure.
4. For Schematic figures, inspect the automatically matched items, and manually match items if necessary..
5. Optionally add additional new figures to the illustration.
6. Save the illustration file.
7. (Optional) Save a figure as an external image, 2D illustration, or 3D file.
8. (Optional) Publish One or More Figures.
9. (Optional) Set Creo Illustrate options.
