To Select Surfaces Based on Their Shapes
This functionality enables you to select a geometry shape of your choice. For example, you can select chamfers or rounds at the boundary of the shape to be a part of the selected shape.
1. Open a model with surfaces of various shapes.
2. Hold the pointer over a surface. The surface is prehighlighted.
3. Press the TAB key. The adjacent surface is highlighted. A shape recognition method, such as Cut or Cut with secondary shapes, appears in the graphics window for the highlighted surface.
4. Continue to press the TAB key to cycle through various surfaces, highlight them, and recognize their shapes until you find the surface of your choice.
5. Hold down the CTRL key and select the required surfaces.
