About Using Mouse Shortcuts

Result
Move the pointer over geometry
Prehighlights geometry for selection.
Click
Selects individual entities to add to the selection set.
Right-click the highlighted geometry
Queries the next entity for selection.
Double-click
Completes the modeling operation when creating a 2D or a 3D entity.
Activates Edit mode in 2D mode after you create an entity.
Middle-click
Completes the current operation and exits the active tool.
CTRL+click ( hold down CTRL as you click)
Adds or removes entities from the selection set.
In 3D mode, temporarily activates the primary collector and populates it with additional selections in a scenario where the secondary collector has been automatically activated and is empty.
Right-click
Opens a shortcut menu.
SHIFT+drag ( hold down SHIFT as you drag)
Snaps the dragger to a valid geometric entity in 3D and assembly modes. After the dragger is snapped, you can hold down the SHIFT key and pull the dragger to unsnap it. In 2D mode the action disables same-point constraints when you drag points.
SHIFT+click ( hold down SHIFT as you click)
Selects chain entities.
Drag the pointer to create a box
Selects all the entities in a box in part and assembly modes. The selection is based on the direction in which you drag the pointer:
Right to left—Selects entities touching and inside the box.
Left to Right—Selects entities only within the box.
Scroll wheel
Scrolls through entities for selection in the Pick From List dialog box.
