To Insert a Component into an Assembly
1. In an open assembly, click Home > Insert. The Open dialog box opens.
2. Select a component to insert and click Open. Alternatively, browse and select a component from the Creo Direct browser and drag it into the open assembly.
The selected component appears in the graphics window and remains attached to the pointer and moves with it. A Live Toolbar appears along with the Options Toolbar for positioning the component.
3. Click the graphics window to place the component. The dragger appears.
4. Move the component using the highlighted handles of the dragger.
5. Select references on the component and the assembly for positioning and constraining the component using the Options Toolbar.
6. Click the graphics window. The Ribbon is now available for working with the positioned component.
