To Activate a Part or a Subassembly
1. Open an assembly with one or more components. The hierarchical structure of the assembly is displayed on the Model Tree.
2. Select a component (part or a subassembly) on the Model Tree or in the graphics window and click
on the Live Toolbar.
Alternatively, right-click a component on the Model Tree and click Activate. The following actions are triggered:
◦ In case of a part, the assembly mode Ribbon changes to the part mode Ribbon. You can modify and save the part.
◦ In case of a subassembly, the selected subassembly is activated in the graphics window and becomes the active model.
