About Sending Files as Links and Attachments
You can send e-mails with Creo Direct objects as attachments and select the output format other than the default Creo Direct format. When you select an object to send with an e-mail, all the dependent files are automatically determined and included in the e-mail.
When you receive an e-mail with an attachment that contains a Creo Direct part (in a zipped file or in regular format), you can open the file by dragging it into the graphics window. To open an assembly that you received through e-mail, you must unzip it before opening it in Creo Direct.
There are two mailing options:
Mail Recipient (As Attachment)—Send the selected object and all its dependent objects as an attachment.
Mail Recipient (As Link)—Send a link to the selected object and all its dependencies. This is possible only for objects that have definite Web locations, for example, in a Windchill folder.
