About Opening Files
You can open files across platforms, retrieve files from other directories, and retrieve earlier versions of a file. In addition, you can use wildcards to retrieve objects and to perform operations to save time when retrieving graphics. To open a recently saved file, click its name at the bottom of the File menu.
You can retrieve files of all types from the current session (in memory) and from disk using the File Open dialog box (File > Open). You can use this dialog box to perform the following operations:
Navigate your disk and directory structure
Select and open a file
Filter the displayed file types
Select simplified representations of files
Preview files
View files as thumbnails
Refer to the section on opening files in the Creo Parametric Fundamentals Help for more information.
