About Datum Axes
Like datum planes, datum axes can be used as references for direct modeling operations. Datum axes are particularly useful for making datum planes, placing items concentrically, and creating radial patterns. You can adjust the axis length to visually fit to an edge or surface.
You can use datum axes as references for creating new geometry. Select planes, surfaces, edges, vertices, and curves as references to create datum axes. Datum axes are named as A_#, where # is the number of datum axes that you created. You can set conditions for each of the references, specify the offset references, and define the length of the axis as required.
