About Changing the Appearance of Surfaces
You can change the appearance of surfaces in part mode or of assembly components in assembly mode by applying a specific color. Colors distinguish and identify the surfaces and components visually. You can apply colors to one or more surfaces or assembly components at a time. If you do not apply a color, the default color is applied and you cannot modify it.
