Pull a face or recognized feature
Creo Elements/Direct Modeling allows you to pull the faces of a part, or a recognized feature of a part, in either a linear or angular direction. Faces or recognized features are lifted off the part and pulled either linearly through a given distance, or rotated about an axis through a given angle. If you try to remove material (by lifting in a negative direction) the operation fails.
The figure shows an example of pulling faces using both linear and angular pull.
It is possible to pull a face that intersects an existing face on the part, that is, topology changes are performed.
To pull a face or recognized feature in a linear direction,
1. Click Modeling and then, in the Modify 3D group, click the arrow next to Modify.
2. Click Pull. The Pull dialog box opens.
3. Select the face or recognized feature in one of the following ways:
Select a face; press Shift to select multiple faces.
Select a boss or a pocket to select all faces of the feature.

The default option in the Operation box is Automatic. Creo Elements/Direct Modeling automatically selects the most likely operation based on the other options in the Pull dialog box. You can change the default operation to Add Material or Remove Material.
4. Click Linear in the Pull dialog box.
5. In the Type box, select Distance.
6. Type the distance through which the face is to be pulled. The distance is a relative measurement. Click Next to repeat the pull operation in multiple steps of the same distance. Click Back to reverse these steps. New faces created using Pull and Next are only merged when you complete the operation.

You can click Chk & Fix if you suspect a part is corrupt. Chk & Fix checks for self-intersections, knife edges, and void shells and attempts to fix them. If a part fails the check and fix, it is not modified and remains in its original state.
7. Click to complete the operation.
To pull a face in an angular direction,
1. Click Modeling and then, in the Modify 3D group, click the arrow next to Modify.
2. Click Pull. The Pull dialog box opens.
3. Click Faces and select a face. To select multiple faces, press Shift and select the faces.
4. Click Angular. The default Type is Axis.
5. Click Axis and set the pull axis in the Axis 3D CoPilot tool.
6. Click Angle and type the pull angle.

Limitations
You can pull non-planar faces, but the outer edges of the faces, the "bounding loops" must be planar. If you select multiple faces, they must be connected, and also have a planar bounding loop.
