As you work, you may want to remove objects from your design. Use Undo to erase your most recent steps, or use the following to delete any object or element.
To delete 3D objects,
1. Click Modeling and then, in the Utilities group, click Delete 3D.
The Utilities group is available under the following tabs also:
• Structure
• Feature
• 3D Geometry
• Sheets
• Analysis
2. Specify the objects you want to delete, using one of the following ways:
◦ Click the objects.
◦ Use the browser.
◦ Enter the object's name.
◦ Use the Select tool to select multiple objects.
3. You can specify other objects to delete or click to complete the operation.
Alternatively, select the 3D objects and press DELETE to delete all the selected objects.
To delete 2D elements,
1. Click Modeling and then, in the Utilities group, click Delete 2D.

2. Specify the elements you want to delete using one of the following ways:
◦ Click the elements.
◦ Select a segment of a line, which is trimmed at the closest intersections with other 2D elements as shown below:
1. Click Modeling and then, in the Modify 2D group, click the arrow next to Trim.
2. Click Delete
You can also:
a. Click Modeling and then, in the Utilities group, click Delete 2D.
b. Press the SPACEBAR (or the assigned key) to open the Option Mini Toolbar (OMT) and click (Use Trim) on the OMT.
3. Move the cursor over a segment of a line, which is trimmed at the closest intersections. The visual feedback in the following figure shows the segment with highlighted end points at the intersections.
4. Select the highlighted segment to delete it.
◦ Box the elements. (If you box both geometry and construction geometry, boxing will select the geometry elements first and delete them. If you want specific construction items to be deleted, either pick them individually or use the Select tool.)
◦ Use the Select tool to specify multiple elements or specific types of elements.
3. You can specify other elements to delete or click to complete the operation.
Alternatively, select the 2D elements and press DELETE to delete all the selected objects.
