Linking a Block to A Different Block Diagram Using Diagram Linking Commands
You can link a block to an entirely different block diagram using the Set Diagram Link window. The linked diagram then provides detailed configuration information for the block.
1. In the diagram, do one of the following to open the Select Diagram Link window:
◦ Right-click the block and select > .
◦ Select the block and then select > .
If the Set Diagram Link command is unavailable, the block has a data link. A block cannot have both a data link and a diagram link. To make the Set Diagram Link command available, remove the data link by right-clicking the block and selecting > .
2. Use the Select Diagram Link window to set the diagram link.
In this window, you can select any existing diagram in the
RBD Table. You can also insert new diagrams or copy existing diagrams to create new ones. For more information, see

3. Once you have selected the diagram to which to link, click Select.
This diagram is now selected in the RBD Diagram pane.
In the diagram, the diagram link button appears near the upper right corner of this block. Additionally, Linked To: and the name of the linked diagram is shown in the block’s text box.

Links page in the block’s
Calculation Properties window, the properties under
Diagram linking work just as if the diagram link was set on this page. For more information, see

Once RBD calculations run, you can view results for the child diagram in the
Calculation Properties window of the diagram-linked block. For more information, see
