Part Number Searches
The goal of a part number search is to retrieve specific information about a part based on the complete or partial part number entered in the Parts Table. Part number searches are extremely fast. Thousands of records can be searched in only a fraction of a second. Part number searches are described in the following topics:

If a list is attached to Part Number in the Project’s Data Definition file, part number searching is not performed when you enter data in this field. For more information, see Data Definition Files.
