Generating a Prediction Graph
To generate a prediction graph, after you run calculations, you start the Graph Wizard and indicate the data to graph. For information about generating a new graph, see Using the Graph Wizard to Generate a Graph.
1. Select Tools > Graph Wizard. The Graph Wizard starts and displays the Load Graph Template page. The option for creating a custom graph is selected by default.
2. Click Next. If the Select Module page appears, select Prediction and click Next again. The Prediction Graph Type page appears.
*
Several of the options available graph calculation results. The label for the first two options depends on the singular name specified for the System Tree Items table. For more information, see Specifying Table Settings.
3. Select the type of Prediction graph to generate, referring to the following table for descriptions and references for completing the subsequent Graph Wizard pages for that graph type.
Option
Description
Calculation result by System Tree Item (uses last calculation result)
Graphs a calculation result for each system tree item. You need only to select the calculation result to graph and the items to include in the graph. The Graph Wizard uses the last result calculated. For more information, see Generating a Prediction Calculation Result by System Tree Item Graph.
*
For this graph type and the next one, you can drill down on a data point in the graph to view data for this item using the Table Format file for the System Tree Items table. For more information, see Drilling Down On and Filtering Data Points.
Data value per System Tree Item
Graphs the data value for a data field for each system tree item. You select the data field for which to graph values and then indicate the field to use for displaying the x-axis labels for the value graph. For more information, see Generating a Prediction Data Value Per System Tree Item Graph.
Reliability over time
Graphs reliability over a specified time period. You need only to specify the appropriate time period. For more information, see Generating a Prediction Reliability over Time Graph.
Calculation result over range of temperatures
Graphs a calculation result over a range of temperatures. You need only to select the calculation result to graph. For more information, see Generate a Prediction Calculation Result over Range of Temperatures Graph.
Calculation result over range of environments
Graphs a calculation result over a range of environments. You need only to select the calculation result to graph. For more information, see Generate a Prediction Calculation Result over Range of Environments Graph.
Calculation result over range of stresses
Graphs a calculation result over a range of stresses. You need only to select the calculation result to graph. For more information, see Generating a Prediction Calculation Result over Range of Stresses Graph.
Mission Reliability results
Graphs reliability results for each phase in the Mission Profile file. For more information, see Generate a Prediction Mission Reliability Results Graph.
Once the pages of the Graph Wizard are completed, the Select Configuration window opens if more than one system tree configuration exists in the System file. The active configuration is the default. After you select the configuration you want to use for the graph and click OK, the graph is generated.
